Promoting positive, mental and physical wellbeing

Dopamind Case Studies

Below are examples of how Adam has worked with clients to deliver Dopamind workshops and bespoke wellbeing programmes aimed at significantly improving positive, mental and physical wellbeing.

Leeds United Foundation

Adam was invited by Leeds United Foundation’s Positive Choices to be a motivational speaker delivering Dopamind workshops to secondary schools across Leeds and Bradford. The workshops are delivered in conjunction with science-based educations on the human reward/ feel good chemical Dopamine. They explore why people experience highs, and how anyone can replicate the artificial highs gained from drugs, processed foods, social media and screens by making positive changes to their routines.

“Adam’s Dopamind workshops were educational and empowering as he discusses his childhood, the choices he made and the consequences of those choices.

Adam engages students and can provide them with the knowledge to understand the consequences of their choices, enabling them to make better decisions for their futures.”

West Yorkshire Police - Physical wellbeing

West Yorkshire Police

Dopamind has proven a key partner at Positive Choices and we have now delivered to around 18,000 teenagers in Leeds and Bradford. The Premier league have recognised the project as a worthwhile and necessary intervention in the ongoing battle for young people in relation to knife crime, drugs, county lines and prison.

“We were introduced to Adam through Mat Everett from LUFC’s community foundation, and after an initial session observing Dopamind in person – we were instantly impressed. Adam’s input is unique, having worked with numerous ‘lived experience’ guest speakers on our project, Positive Choices, I can honestly say that I’ve not come across anyone who currently does what he delivers across the UK.

Adam educates on how the feel-good reward chemical Dopamine functions in relation to human behaviour, habits and sustained positive mental and physical wellbeing. It is truly inspirational.”

Personal Client

Tim suffered from arthritis since the age of 28 and always used this as an excuse to not do as much exercise as he should. When he turned 50, he was determined to change this, but it took another 4 years and hitting nearly 100 kilos before he took real action, and in doing so, met Adam.

“Adam immediately understood how to get me doing things I said I couldn’t do. Due to acute pain in my joints, exercise has always worked but now I was doing it without so much pain and really enjoying it. Adam also placed me on his 7:14 nutrition plan which changed my diet and further benefitted the pain due to reduction of processed foods and sugars.

We knew it would be a slow process, but the results have been fantastic, and my personal and physical wellbeing has drastically improved as well. Adam’s compassion for clients is second to none and his extensive knowledge means he can adapt a routine to avoid areas of concern.

A few years later and I am 78kg with 18% body fat (down from 34%) and I feel great. We are now embarking on a new programme to maintain and improve my stats and for the first time in many years I can perform press ups without pain and my abdominals are almost showing! I turned 60 this year and have felt the best I have for years.”

“What has been clear from the outset is the passion and dedication Adam has in supporting young people to develop their knowledge and skills to improve their mental health. Adam has an in-depth knowledge of his field and its clear the theoretical knowledge he has acquired through his years of experience and qualifications, underpins his daily practice in the work and activities he sets for the learners.

Adam’s high energy and positive mindset allows him to build excellent relationships with students while his bespoke wellbeing programmes mean students are actively engaged in their learning. Students who have worked with Adam have reported increased levels of physical wellbeing, improved self-esteem and have had a reduction in negative behaviour logs in school.

I am certain that both staff and students alike have benefited vastly from working with Adam.”

Rebecca Tarren, Referral & Inclusion Manager

Personal Client

Kate met Adam when she was an incredibly stressed, overworked business owner, struggling with the usual chronic stress, over-eating and binge drinking. She was overweight, overtired and fatigued.

“Adam put together a training plan for me, but unlike most gyms or personal trainers out there, he also included strategies to help with weight loss, stress management and other lifestyle issues that were making me miserable.

Adam takes an intelligent and holistic approach to training and coaching, and he not only helped me gain confidence in my physical wellbeing, he also helped me understand the need for better food (and drink) choices, stress management and self-care.

I’m now in a much better place health wise and have rediscovered my ability to achieve a successful work/life balance. Thank you, Adam!”
